. MIRAR / Mi principal inicio en el arte se dio cuando entendí que la pintura, como forma de mirar la realidad, me había acompañado desde pequeño. Aunque no sabía cómo decirlo, desde niño entendí que en el acto de ver intervienen muchas sensaciones, muchas de las cuales son difíciles de explicar. La pintura es una forma de expresar estas cosas y ampliar la mirada para dar espacio, forma y color a esas sensaciones.
APRENDER / Mis profesores me enseñaron a observar. A estar tranquilo y observar. Un maestro pega un trozo de arcilla sobre otro y ahí ya hay algo. Eso luego se puede ver a través del tamiz de las emociones, de la teoría, del uso de las texturas. Al sentido de la vista la pintura le permite otro lenguaje, le quita formas crudas, le permite mostrar lo que no podemos distinguir todos los días.
HACER / Creo que hacer el futuro significa aprender a pintar una vida que no puede mostrar todos los colores que tiene. Todos tenemos tensiones que necesitamos eliminar y no sabemos cómo o no podemos. La pintura es una forma de transformar ese limite en expresión y, al mismo tiempo, crear una dimensión de libertad cotidiana
. LOOK / My main beginning in art was when I understood that painting, as a way of looking at reality, had accompanied me since childhood. Although I did not know how to say it, since I was a child I understood that many sensations take part in the act of seeing - many which are difficult to explain. Painting is a way of expressing these things and broadening the gaze to give space, shape and color to those sensations.
LEARN / My teachers taught me to observe. To be calm and observe. A master sticks one piece of clay on top of another, and there is already something there. Later, that can be seen through the sieve of emotions, of theory, of the use of textures. Painting allows sight to have another language, it takes stark forms out of it, and allows us to show what we cannot point out every day.
DO / I believe that making the future means learning to paint a life that cannot show all the colors it has. We all have tensions that we need to remove and we don't know how or we can't. Painting is a way of transforming those limits into expression and, at the same time, creating a dimension of daily freedom.
